In 1902, physician George Still described children with behavioural difficulties in terms of a “defect of moral control”, an early chapter in the history of what would eventually become ADHD.
Over a century later, we’ve decided to put it on a T-shirt.
Because nothing says progress in mental health understanding quite like wearing an outdated medical judgement across your chest.
Featuring bold white lettering on a black T-shirt, this design celebrates how far ADHD science has come, while gently reminding everyone that the history of psychiatry contains some spectacularly questionable ideas.
An original design from The ADHD Adults Podcast.
Perfect for: ADHD adults, psychology enthusiasts, mental health professionals, and anyone who enjoys explaining an obscure historical reference to increasingly uncomfortable strangers.
